The Washington Hospital Diabetes Education & Management Program

This service is dedicated to improving the quality of life for our clients and their families. Certified diabetes educators work with people with diabetes as well as their doctors to develop customized diabetes management plans for individual needs.

What Services Are Avaialble?

  • Diabetes Life Skills Program is a group series that provides overall instruction in dealing successfully with diabetes. Coordinated and taught by certified diabetes educators, the series includes basic information on diet, exercise, and medications along with other aspects of diabetes self-management.
  • Meal planning and self blood glucose monitoring
  • Insulin therapy
  • Diagnostic continuous glucose monitoring
  • Nutrition counseling

What Makes the Program Unique?

The program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association for providing quality diabetes self-management education, and it is staffed by certified diabetes educators.

What are the Program Hours?

Washington Office:
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Waynesburg Office: Tuesdays, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Special appointments may be arranged for those unable to come during regularly scheduled hours.
